Welcome to DP Forensic Psychology. I am Dimitra, a licensed and registered Forensic Psychologist practicing in Cyprus and Greece (Reg: 1033 / Reg: 3166). I remain dedicated to the intersection of mental health and the legal system and I provide high-level psychological services tailored to legal professionals, patients, and families. My practice is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), applied across both clinical and forensic populations. I bring extensive experience working with individuals navigating the complexities of addiction, while my approach is evidence-based, objective, and compassionate. Beyond therapeutic counseling, I specialize in forensic assessments, evaluations, and report writing and I offer expert witness testimony and consultancy for legal professionals. Whether you prefer face-to-face sessions or the convenience of online therapy, I am here to support you.

Dimitra Papadopoulou

Dimitra Papadopoulou is a specialized psychologist dedicated to the intersection of clinical practice and the legal system. She earned her BA (Hons) in Psychology from DEREE – The American College of Greece, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2021, followed by an MSc in Forensic Psychology from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in 2024. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has maintained a keen research interest in the treatment of paraphilias and the rehabilitation of violent sex offenders.

Services

Individual Therapy (50–60’)

One-on-one sessions in a safe and private space, focused on building resilience, processing past experiences, and developing practical tools for lasting mental wellness.

Group Therapy (90’)

Structured group sessions addressing addiction recovery, anger management, or social skills development.

Family Mediation (90–120’)

Facilitation and resolution support in divorce, custody, and broader family disputes.

Forensic Psychological Assessment (approx. 4–8 weeks)

Comprehensive forensic evaluations conducted over several weeks. Quote upon request / billed hourly.

Forensic Report Writing (2–4 sessions + record review)

Preparation of structured forensic reports tailored to the specific case. Case dependent / quote upon request.

Expert Witness Testimony

Oral evidence and cross-examination in criminal, civil, or family court.

Fixed rate per court appearance:
Half-day (up to 3.5 hours) or full-day (exceeding 3.5 hours or requiring significant travel).

Court preparation fee applies and includes review of evidence, file analysis, and preparation of testimony.

Legal Consultancy (60’)

Psychological guidance for advocates and legal professionals regarding the psychological aspects of their cases. Quote upon request.

MMPI-2 Personality Assessment (1.5–2 hours testing + interpretation)

The gold standard for evaluating personality structure and adult psychopathology in both legal and clinical contexts.

Forensic Risk Assessment (approx. 10–15 hours)

Hourly-billed evaluation of violence risk, recidivism, and domestic violence using Structured Professional Judgment (SPJ) tools (HCR-20, SAPROF, SAVRY).

Includes file review, clinical interview, scoring and analysis, and report writing.

Capacity Evaluations (4–8 weeks)

Assessments related to fitness to stand trial. Quote provided upon review of the Letter of Instruction.

Free Initial Consultation (15 min)

Complimentary introductory call for all new clients. We discuss goals, fees, scheduling, and answer any questions.

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to assess our working dynamic and ensure you feel comfortable, confident, and aligned before committing to therapy.

Note: This consultation is intended to determine fit and is not a full therapy session.

DP – Forensic Psychology Ltd does not provide emergency or immediate crisis intervention. All sessions are by appointment only. If you require urgent assistance, please dial 112 or contact your GP or local crisis team.

Confidentiality Agreement

Your privacy is the foundation of our work together. All services are governed by strict confidentiality standards, ensuring that what you share here stays here. I will not share information about you with third parties without your express written consent. If you choose to grant consent to share information, you have the right to withdraw that permission at any time.

Important Exceptions: I am legally obligated to disclose information without consent to ensure safety or if I am served with a legally binding court order. This only applies if there is a clear danger to your life or the safety of others, especially in disclosed harm to vulnerable populations. In these cases, I may need to contact a medical professional, a close relative, or emergency services to ensure everyone’s well-being.
